Our little Gwen, finally after all this time - almost a year in her foster home - had a meet set up for tomorrow.....but today it fell through. We are still hopeful that they reschedule but we just want Gwen to have her very own forever home! Her foster family loves her so much but they are just that, her foster family. Gwen needs a home with no other pets, she lovessss children though, or even just an older couple who wants to spoil her rotten. She is 3 yrs old, fully housebroken, crate trained, spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated, heartworm & lyme negative, on preventatives and is the best snuggler ever 💛 With Gwen you wont NEED other pets. She is enough all by herself. If you would like to meet our pocket bull terrier/pittie mix who weighs under 50 lbs, please go to www.goodkarmadogrescue.com/adoption-application and apply for Gwen!!
Greta is a 1 year old Chihuahua who came to GKDR as a feral dog. She had never know human love or touch. Since arriving approximately 2 months ago, Greta has come really far but still isn't 100% ready to go to her forever home. She loves being pet and hanging with people and other dogs but does not trust anyone to pick her up. She needs an experienced adopter who is willing to give her the time and space she needs to get comfortable.
Pearl is a purebred, Chihuahua, who is approximately 1 year old. She was rescued from an inner city shelter where she was dumped by her previous owner, along with her sister. Pearl and her sister, Greta, came into the rescue as basically feral dogs. They are both in loving homes where they are learning how to trust, love and feel safe. Neither girl is available yet but soon enough they will be ready to make someone very happy!

Rumble is a 10 yr old pittie mix that weighs 85 lbs, he is dog/cat/kid friendly and is neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated, he is move in ready! Rumble is LOVING life in his foster home. He has 2 doggies to play with, pittie Juice and chihuahua Tootsie, and he is being spoiled rotten. He goes for lots of long leisurely walks, chomping on his bully sticks and sleeping or walking around with his blanket! But he would still love to be adopted :)

Tanya was an owner surrender to a high kill shelter at 11 YEARS OLD because they moved and couldnt have dogs now. The entire situation is sad, Tanya is scared but she's getting used to all the affection. She has reportedly lived with dogs, cats and kids and regularly visited the local dog park. She is now in a wonderful foster home with a cat and a bird (caged). Stay tuned while Tanya decompresses and gets the luxuries her new life will give her.

Please welcome 6 month old Carter to Good Karma Dog Rescue! Carter is a 6 mo male shepherd/lab mix who is such a cutie pie! He is neutered, chipped and fully vaccinated already. He is great with dogs and older kids (he needs some manners) and he could definitely live with a dog savvy cat. He is doing great in foster care with a kitty and he runs a few miles a day with his foster mom! He will be available for adoption in a week or two!

We were contacted by a shelter where this little 2-3 week old girl was brought in being found in an alley with a massive infection in her eye that has caused abscesses under her neck, anemic, dehydrated, etc. Well, would we say no? Never. She was brought immediately to our vet and put on IV fluids, antibiotics and steroids and 3 days later she got to go home to her foster home! She is doing amazing. She loves all the other dogs, shes climbing steps, the infection in her eye is just about gone and she WILL NOT lose her eye as we first thought. We named her Miracle because thats what she is. She has at least 9-10 weeks before she will be available and we are NOT accepting applications yet for her. But she does have a wishlist :) Stay tuned for updates on our tiny Miracle.
Slater is a 14 week old bully puppy who came to us when his previous owner reached out to us for help. Slater was born with a Syrinx on the lumbar area of his spine causing paralysis of both hind legs. Unfortunately Slater is not a candidate for surgery and so Good Karma Dog Rescue got him a fancy set of wheels!
Before you feel sad for Slater, please know that he is happy, healthy and thriving. He is mobile and loving life!
Slater will be available for adoption but before he is adopted, we need to make sure he is physically fit and comfortable using his cart. All potential adopters need to consider Slater's long term needs but his cart will be provided to him, from us, for life!
If you are interested in more about Slater, please email us at Goodkarmadogrescue@gmail.com
Please welcome Blair to Good Karma Dog Rescue! Blair was found by a good samaritan after her family moved and left her behind in the garage. People were tossing her food for weeks, but she was a mess. She was surrendered to us yesterday and what a dream she is! Blair is heartworm & lyme negative, fully vaccinated and will be spayed and chipped prior to adoption. She is about 3 years old, loves people and kids, dogs and cats and is crate trained and housebroken. They don't come better then this girl!

This is Nelson!! When we pulled Nelson from the euthanasia list at a shelter locally, he was unable to walk. We immediately took him to our vet for xrays and an exam. Turns out he has a bilateral fracture of his pelvis (meaning both sides are fractured), we think he was a victim of a hit and run. He is on pain killers, NSAIDs and strict crate rest. He is at Week 3 and making huge progress. Follow up xrays in 2 weeks. Nelson loves kids and dogs and is crate trained. No kitties for Nelson. Pretty housebroken for crate rest. He will be neutered, fully vaccinated and chipped prior to adoption. At this time Nelson is "on hold" until he is medically cleared but he sure will be a catch once he is available!
Hopefully after 6-8 wks he can start looking for his family around xmas!
